Summit County 4-H Camps
In Summit County we offer three county-level camping opportunities each summer.
Camp Whitewood- June 8-13, 2025

Horse Camp - June 15-19 2025
- Ages: 9-14
- Location: Summit County Fairgrounds 1050 North Ave, Tallmadge, OH 44278
- Cost: TBA
- Details: Do you want to improve your horsemanship while spending a fun week meeting new people from Summit County and the surrounding area? Then Horse Camp is for you! Held the second week of June by dedicated 4-H volunteers and Junior leaders, Horse camp is a fantastic opportunity to make new friends, build your skills, and spend a fun week with your horse!
Cloverbud Camp- June 17-19 2025
- Ages: 5-8
- Location: Summit County Fairgrounds 1050 North Ave, Tallmadge, OH 44278
- Time: 9:00am-1:00pm
- Cost: $30 (or $45 with lunch)
- Details: This camp is offered for our youngest 4-Hers known as Cloverbuds. You do NOT have to be a member of 4-H to attend Cloverbud camp and it is a great introduction to what 4-H is all about! This camp is run by trained and background-checked 4-H volunteers for three days in June each summer. Each year campers will participate in fun hands-on activities, games, and learning experiences related to the year's theme. 2025 Theme = Fairy Tale

Akron Community Foundation Scholarships
Morgan Hasbrouck 4-H Scholarship - Due April 1
Morgan Hasbrouck 4-H Scholarship Fund
Established in memory of Morgan Hasbrouck, who was an active member of the Summit Sizzlers 4-H Livestock Club, to provide scholarships for active or former 4-H members.
Eligibility requirements:
• Senior in or graduate of a Summit or Portage County school
• Active or former 4-H member with preference given to an active 4-H member

Renewal: Must reapply annually by submission of a new application.

Summit County Master Gardener Scholarship- Due April 15
Summit County Master Gardeners Scholarship Fund
Established by Summit County Master Gardeners to provide scholarships to Summit County students or residents who are interested in attending an Ohio university to pursue a two- or four-year degree in horticulture, agriculture, environmental studies or closely related field. A non-traditional student currently employed in a green industry is eligible to apply as well as members and relatives of SCMG.
Eligibility requirements:
• Student or resident in Summit County
• Pursuing a degree in horticulture, agriculture, environmental studies or closely related field
• Must attend or plan to attend an in-state institution of higher education
• Minimum 3.0 GPA for high school seniors/2.8 for college students
Amount: Varies ($1,000 minimum)
