    A renowned plantsman, Dr.Michael Dirr has introduced dozens of tree and shrub cultivars during his time at the University of Georgia Plant Introduction Program and through his company, Plant Introductions, Inc. He has written seven books including the Manual of Woody Landscape Plants, now in its sixth edition, which is the most widely used book in the United States about landscape trees and shrubs.

  3. Summit County Master Gardener Tour of Gardens

    The Master Gardeners of Summit County invite the community to attend this year’s annual Tour of Gardens on Saturday, June 25. Six special private gardens will be featured on the general tour. Ticket holders are also invited to visit the Posie Shoppe, which will be filled with garden items and Master Gardener grown plants. A seventh “secret” garden and breakfast will be available for patrons. The tour will run from 9 am – 4 pm rain or shine.
