For the Jenkins family 4-H means family memories to us! Our family started 4-H when my youngest two children were only Cloverbuds. As my children grew, they also grew in their passion for 4-H and evolved in their project interests as well. They tried all kinds of projects such as sewing, cooking, photography, market chickens, and goats but it was shooting sports where they found their real interest. When they aged out of 4-H they still wanted to be a part of it in some way and give back. My children have been advisors since the age of 19 and my husband and I have been advisors for the shooting sports club for many years. Whether it was going to the Ohio State Fair to compete, washing market birds for show, trying new recipes from a cooking project, or even now, helping teach young 4-H’ers shooting sports, we each have a favorite memory and have learned something thanks to 4-H. We feel that 4-H has been such a great program for our family to be a part of. We have many memories and continue to make many more because of 4-H! We love that we can give this opportunity to all children.
