Support OSU Extension in Summit County
Extension programs make a difference in the lives of Summit County residents and folks across the State of Ohio. We need your help to continue offering services as a result of recent budget cuts.
Extension addresses real needs in the community:
Strengthening Families and Communities
Preparing Youth for Success
Enhancing Agricculture and the Environment
Advancing Employment and Income Opportunities
4-H alums report that they were offered their first jobs because of their involvement in 4-H. 1,600 third graders in the Akron Public Schools have enjoyed enhanced science education through 4-H school enrichment curriculum and activities. Nutrition educators work with over 900 low-income adults and youth to improve their health and help them safe money, offer 'Dining with Diabetes' programming and valuable information in food preservation. Agriculture and horticulture experts offer valuable educational opportunities to both commercial and residential growers.
Over 300 4-H and Master Gardener volunteers offer countless hours of service to the community serving youth, adults and senior citizens.
Today, funding is a challenge to all organizations and we are appealing to you to support OSU Extension, and the many programs we offer the community, by supporting us financially. Your generous donation will be placed in the Summit County Extension Development Fund (#313366) established to support current operations.
We thank you for your consideration and welcome your questions.
