4-H Endowment Fund Established
The Summit County 4-H Endowment Fund was established in spring of 2006 and is administered by The Ohio State University Endowment. A minimum of $25,000 is necessary before the it can begin producing funds that will support the work of the 4-H. Your donation of any amount is greatly approciated!
The first fund raising event for the Summit County 4-H Endowment Fund was a silent auction for a Buckeye Basket which included 2 tickets to the OSU v Michigan football game.
In 2008 a similar Buckeye Basket with 2 OSU v M*ch*gan football tickets will be offered.

4-H School Enrichment Program
Thanks to a grant from OSU Urban Extension, Summit Co. 4-H School Enrichment Programs are in the Akron City Schools! 44 teachers attended a wonderful workshop during the summer of '07. Teachers reported it was "the best workshop I've ever attended!"
For school year 2008 - 2009 additional kits with be available to schools in the county outside of Akron.
'Rockets Away', 'Go Plants', 'Egg Embryology', and 'Weather Together' are full of hands-on learning experiences. The grant funded classroom kits, full of supplies and equipment, to encourage participation in all of the activities.
